The New Testament Pattern for the Local Church

Christians Gathered to the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ

The Lord Jesus introduced the truth of the local church in Matthew 18:20 when he said "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."  In Acts chapter 2 we see the formation of the first church in Jerusalem and we learn by this example that there was a specific pattern in which these believers gathered together.  As we read through the epistles we learn specific truth about how a local church is to gather.  Here are some excellent articles on the truth of the local church as it is found in the New Testament.
