Christians Gathered to
the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ
The Lord Jesus introduced the truth of the local church in
Matthew 18:20 when he said "For where two or three are gathered together in my
name, there am I in the midst of them." In Acts chapter 2 we see the
formation of the first church in Jerusalem and we learn by this example that
there was a specific pattern in which these believers gathered together.
As we read through the epistles we learn specific truth about how a local church
